It does translate the word, but the meaning is sometimes beyond hillarious, and don't get me started on the accuracy. You should always try to look for another English word (a synonym) which will help you understand unfamiliar words. So, here is the solution, and make sure to bookmark it. Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary Online Here is an example dictionary entry. I looked up the adjective "ethereal". As you can see in the picture, the dictionary tells you that "ethereal" is an adjective. Then, you can listen to both British and American pronunciation.
